5.8 Richter Magnitude Hits India

According the report an estimated of 5.8 richter struck Uttarakhand late on monday night. According to the report it was 10:30 when the 5.8 richter struck Uttarakhand. 
And the epicentre was measured  near Ukimath in Rudraprayag district of the hill state, where assembly elections are scheduled to be held next week.
Scientists claim that the earthquake depth was just 7km.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted that his office is in touch with officials in Uttarakhand. "I pray for everyone's safety & well-being," PM Modi tweeted, adding, "Spoke to officials & took stock of the situation in the wake of the earthquake felt in various parts of North India."
According the report the shock was so powerful that its shock was felt in the capital of India
New Delhi,also shock was felt on western part of Nepal. It last for 7-10 sec.
According the  report around 9 people died and,100 people were injured.
Another aftershock was felt at 2:30pm with 3.4 magnitude.
